Afghanistan president, Hamid Karzai, whether he realizes it or not, is walking on thin ice. He is demanding that the U.S. government and its military pull out of Afghan villages much sooner than the U.S. plans to do so. This could be a very dangerous maneuver on the part of Karzai.
Karzai is a puppet leader installed by U.S. design. That means that he must cooperate (do as he is told) with the U.S. government. He is now beginning to buck that trend, or so it seems. This has proven to be very dangerous for other puppet leaders in the past, many who no longer walk among us, but who “sleep with the fishes.” Think about Saddam Hussein, Hosni Mubarak, and Moammar Kadafi, just to name three.
If Karzai and Panetta are playing this as a good cop, bad cop game, Karzai is taking some risk, but if Karzai is making demands on his own, then he is taking great risk.
With all the press recently about the U.S. withdrawing all its troops out of Afghanistan, one must wonder what is really going on there. Defense Secretary Leon Panneta said after his meeting with Afghanistan’s president that he was “confident” the United States and Afghanistan would work out a treaty allowing a US military presence in the country beyond a pullout in 2014. He did say they would reach an “agreement” on night raids.
As I read his statements, my impression was that the U.S. has no intention of pulling out of Afghanistan, something I knew long ago, but Obama and his complicit media have been constantly touting a full removal of troops from that country. It should also be noticed that Panetta did not say the horrible night raids would cease, but that an “agreement” would be reached by both sides.
The puppet Karzai had better watch his back, because political puppet leaders and puppet dictators are only useful to the imperial U.S. so long as they obey their orders. Any independence could easily end in another regime change!
