Syria has claimed today that Israel prosecuted an air strike on a Syrian military research center outside the capital city of Damascus. Yesterday, Israel boasted about attacking a convoy in Lebanon, but apparently there is more to that story than was previously thought. That attack was confirmed by Lebanese security sources, Western diplomats, and Syrian rebels, but according to the Syrian military, “Israeli jets have carried out an air strike on its territory, but denied reports that lorries carrying weapons bound for Lebanon were hit.”
The BBC News story reports that both Israel and the U.S. have declined to comment on this attack. Israel and the U.S. have not denied this air strike against the research center, and that sounds like an admission statement to me.
During this attack according to Syrian officials, two people were killed and several injured.
Israel has recently been putting forth the line that Syrian missiles and chemical weapons could end up in the hands of Hezbollah in Lebanon. Is that a real concern, or is that statement simply a precursor to a false flag event meant to escalate the war in Syria? In my opinion, the latter is most likely accurate.
Any unprovoked attack against Syria by Israel or the U.S. could have dire consequences. Today, the Russian foreign ministry said it had “grave concerns” about the attack if confirmed. Iran has already said that any attack on Syria by Israel would be considered an attack on Iran. Do Israel and the U.S. desire a war with Iran? I don’t think there is any question that the eventual aim of these two terrorist states is to go to war with Iran.
The Syrian Army statement said that: “armed terrorist gangs”, (a term the government uses to describe rebel groups) had tried and failed repeatedly to capture the same facility in recent months.” This is the first time I have seen the correct terminology used to describe the U.S. backed rebels, but then, it did come from those who are being persecuted by western forces, and not from any government controlled mainstream media.
I said yesterday that it would only be a matter of time until the U.S. or Israel attacked Syria. I still believe a U.S. or Israeli false flag event against Syria is imminent, but if this attack happened as reported today, things could get out of hand in a hurry in that region.
What a difference a day makes!
