Once again Afghanistan officials are being forced to abandon their investigations into the murder of Afghan citizens at the hands of American soldiers. Evidence shows that U.S. military forces committed acts including extrajudicial executions and torture of Afghan civilians, and continually refuse to cooperate with legitimate investigations.
From an article written by John Glaser at AntiWar.com:
Today, Reuters reports on the hard evidence that the U.S. has deliberately rebuffed efforts to investigate these murders:
Afghanistan’s intelligence service has abandoned its investigation into the murder of a group of civilians after being refused access to U.S. special forces soldiers suspected of involvement, according to a document obtained by Reuters.
…In the report authored by Afghanistan’s National Directorate of Security (NDS) intelligence agency, investigators said they had asked the United States for access to three U.S. Green Berets and four Afghan translators working with them but were rebuffed.
“Despite many requests by NDS they have not cooperated. Without their cooperation this process cannot be completed,” said the report, which was originally published on September 23.
Not just in this case, but every case, it is virtually impossible to prosecute any American soldier for war crimes, regardless of the heinous nature of such crimes. The United States government and its military not only condone murder and torture of innocents in its phony “war on terror,” but will protect at all costs those immoral murdering criminals who kill innocents for the nation state of America.
Past investigations into unholy massacres committed by U.S. troops have gone almost completely unpunished, including as reported in the AntiWar article, the slaughter of 24 Iraqi men, women and children in Haditha, Iraq in 2005. Many other known instances of sheer evil, including the execution of families, families including infants, by U.S. forces have been ignored entirely. This from the so-called “protector of freedom” and the “force for good.”
In reality, every single act of aggression in this so-called war on terror should be considered a war crime. In fact, all are acts of terrorism! All acts of aggression committed by this nation’s military are war crimes, so most every single killing by U.S. forces in other countries is simply murder!
Those who are willing and brave enough to report these war crimes against the innocent expose but a very few of these heinous criminal acts. Most go unreported, and are ignored by the U.S. government, the mainstream media and the evil military. Most are ignored even by the majority of American citizens.
Only monsters could behave in such a demonic manner. Only those without any conscience or soul could live with the memories of those they slaughtered for the nation state of America. Where are the real good guys in the military? Why are they not refusing to kill innocents on orders from cowards? Why is there not a revolt in the ranks, for if there were, and soldiers refused to fight for the state and its war profiting sponsors, there would would be no war!
