Stories abound this morning about the “threat” that Iran poses to Israel and the U.S. Of course, with a report coming out next week by the UN’s nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and one that will be circulated around the globe, the state of panic propagated by the U.S. will be dramatic.
Already headlines are alluding to the notion that Iran is once again developing nuclear weapon capabilities. Also, rumors are flying about Israel mounting an aggressive attack against Iran. While the state mouthpieces of Israel are denying these reports, there may be some credibility to what is being said. Because the U.S. government says it “fears” these possible attacks, the Obama administration wants to impose even more brutal sanctions against Iran, this an act of war in and of itself. Once again, the hypocrisy is obvious, and also very dangerous.
If one considers the massive military buildup in the Gulf region that the U.S. is planning with the partial withdrawal of troops from Iraq, I think it prudent to take these threats against Iran seriously. Nothing that the U.S. government does occurs due to coincidence or happenstance, so any action taken will have been planned in advance. The consequences of any action of this magnitude, especially considering the players involved, could be devastating.
With the U.S. positioning its forces all over the Middle East and Africa, it certainly looks like more aggression and war is desired by those cretins in power. If war were to break out across the Middle East, especially if Iran and Pakistan were involved, the risk of global war would increase substantially. None of this should be taken lightly.
I will expand on this subject in my next article.
