The U.S. Navy fired on what was called a small white pleasure craft, killing one, in the Persian Gulf. The man killed according to UAE’s official news agency, was an Indian fisherman.
While the Navy spokesman said that it is not uncommon for these types of incidents to be due to attacks by Iranian crafts, this boat was not Iranian, and was carrying four Indians and two Emiratis. “I can’t emphasize enough that this has nothing to do with Iran,” the official said.
I beg to differ. First, why should the U.S. have any business in the waters of other countries in the first place? Why should the U.S. have gunships in the Persian Gulf, unless it is attempting to control by force those waters and vessels navigating the Gulf? Did the American security team fire because they thought Iranians might be aboard? Were they looking for such an “opportunity?” The U.S. military has warships in place there, and has had for some time, this for the purpose of setting the stage for a “planned” war with Iran.
In my opinion, there is more to this story than meets the eye. What if that had been an innocent Iranian craft traveling in waters close to its shores? What if innocent Iranians had been killed? What if, as in this case, it seemed to be an innocent mistake by fishermen? What if some innocent Iranian officials happened to be on board? What then would the outcome have been?
These kinds of incidents could lead to full out war with Iran, which could easily escalate into World War III. Tensions are already running high in the Persian Gulf, and the U.S. is once again instigating aggression by keeping constantly two complete carrier groups on Gulf waters. These are warships, fully armed to the teeth, operating in Gulf waters even though not one attack has taken place against the U.S.
The aggressor here is the U.S. government and its military, not the local fisherman. This situation could get out of control at any time, and the world would suffer the consequences should that happen.
The U.S. should get out of all foreign countries, out of all foreign waters, and should cease immediately the warmongering, aggression, and imperialistic ventures it is constantly pursuing. But unless the ignorant American people demand such a right moral outcome, this war making and slaughter will continue.
