American forces including commandos, FBI, CIA and Navy Seals invaded both Libya and Somalia yeterday in their alleged search for terrorist militants. Since this raid was carried out by U.S. terrorists, can that effort in any way be considered a fight against terrorists? Absolutely not, as the real terrorism committed, and the real reason for blowback by so-called terrorists, lies in the military and political policies of the empire driven United States.
The U.S. claimed to have captured a “militant” from Libya named Nazih Hamed al-Ruqai known as Abu Anas al-Liby. The U.S. claims that he was involved in the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. I have no idea whether he was involved in that attack or not, but if history is any guide, no evidence or trial will be forthcoming to prove these unsustantiated claims in any U.S. court unless it is of the kangaroo variety. U.S. officials have said that al-Liby is alive and in U.S. cutody, but no proof or evidence is available to back up those assertions. As reported in the New York Times:
Abu Anas, the Libyan “Qaeda leader,” was considered a major prize, and officials said he was alive in United States custody. While the details about his capture were sketchy, an American official said Saturday night that he appeared to have been taken peacefully and that he was “no longer in Libya.”
In Somalia, it was also alleged by U.S. officials that a Navy Seal team raid was prosecuted in the early morning against alleged militants who were involved in the Nairobi Mall massacre. That attack that killed more than 60 people certainly has never been truthfully reported by any mainstream media source, as U.S. involvement, whether due to its brutal interference in Northern Africa or its actual complicity, has not been investigated. It has certainly served as another excuse for covert U.S. attacks in the region, attacks that continue to take place.
U.S. officials in their statements about these raids are speaking with forked tounges, as they cliam that the timing of these two attacks against African countries was coincidental. This was reported in the mainstream as if the U.S. military and its minions of death have no idea what each is doing in the same vicinity. Ludicrous does not come close to explaining such utter nonsense, but lies and deceipt do.
It is being reported that chaos and lawlessness has consumed Libya since the regime change and murder of Gadaffi by the U.S. took place. That was the desired end that was sought by the U.S., but now it is being used as an excuse to affect more murderous raids on that country. That is one truth that certainly is no coincidence.
The U.S. will continue its assault on Northern Africa under the false guise of the war on terror. How can a war against terror be prosecuted by the largest terrorist force on earth? The contradiction here is astounding, but without the fear and ignorance displayed by Americans, this takeover of Africa by U.S. forces would not be possible.
