War

The Rhetoric Of War Continues

When Israel’s war-mongering prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets with the U.S.’s war-mongering president Barrack Obama, nothing good can come from it.

Netanyahu says that Israel ‘reserves the right’ to strike Iran, and Obama says that the United States is keeping the military option open against Iran, and always “has Israel’s back.” These statements are not merely harmless bantering back and forth, but serve to send a message, and that message is one that supports aggression.

Netanyahu went on to say: “My supreme responsibility as prime minister of Israel is to ensure that Israel remains the master of its fate.” This statement is also one of aggression, and indicates the Israeli desire to start a pre-emptive war, even though no attack against them has taken place. In addition, Iran would have to risk all, and risk retaliation from not only Israel and its nukes, but also the U.S. should they initiate an attack. Why would Iran take that suicide course?

Every new threat stokes the fire of war, and any aggressive action, and possibly any mistake by Iran, could turn this situation into full scale war. This would be in the interest of no one except the warmongers themselves, and those who profit due to state murder.
