Things have gotten completely out of hand when the workers at power and light companies have to be assisted by armed police thugs in order to prey on their customers. But that is exactly what is happening in Illinois.
In Naperville, Illinois, electrical company employees have been installing what are referred to as smart meters at residences in the area. The government claims that smart meters help the energy delivery process by allowing for inovative real time meter reading. In reality, it is another way for the consumer to be spied upon, and given the right circumstances, it is a way for the utility companies to monitor and control how much power one is allowed to use.
There are even more sinister reasons that the police state wants these meters installed on all homes, and that is because they can be used to watch movement, what type of movement, and where any activity is concentrated in the home and on private property, all without a warrant. Police can in fact monitor exact placement and amout of power usage, and speculate as to so-called criminal activity. This should never be allowed.
The big story this past week was that two Naperville, Illinois women resisted the trespassing and forced installation of spying equipment at their own homes. Electrical company workers have been entering private properties without permission, and installing these smart meters without authorization. When two residents balked at this invasion, they were arrested by police. This is what a police state looks like, at least in the non-deadly sense.
The problem as I see it, is that only two women were “man” enough to stand up to the very invasive and illegal trespass of utility companies. Only two! Why didn’t most all of the citizens of Naperville resist this tyrannical behavior? Had most of the residents resisted, no arrests would have been forthcoming.
Active dissent is necessary if tyranny is to be avoided. Acting like sheep will only make matters worse. If the donut grazing police can force the citizenry to install smart meters, then they can force other things; other things like giving up your guns because the state demands it!
It’s time to resist the state’s advances against liberty, and at every turn. None should stand down when police bullying is the method used to advance the state’s agenda. Actionable but peaceful dissent, full resistance, and non-compliance will help to turn away the assault against liberty by the state. Freedom demands that the people take matters into their own hands, when aggressive force is the tactic used by those in power to control the rest of us!
