This morning, the lead headline on The Drudge Report, the headline at the top of the page in large bold type, says:
“Iran Warships Sent To USA Border”
This headline obviously was purposely meant to imply that the U.S. coast was being invaded by Iran. Given that most Americans these days don’t bother to read past the headlines, or do any real research whatsoever, this type of false reporting can be dangerous as the collective sheep all herd in mass fear.
What is really going on is in stark contrast to the headline above. Iran has sent “ships” into the Atlantic ocean, but thousands of miles from the U.S. mainland. Actually, Iran is sending ships in proper response to aggressive action by U.S. ships close to or inside Iranian waters.
But there is more to this mainstream media deception than meets the eye. The actual border that Iran is supposedly close to is a claimed U.S. maritime border, and the so-called navy invasion consists of one destroyer and one helicopter carrier. That is not much of a threat to the largest and most aggressive navy on the planet, but then again, Iran has no military force that can threaten the U.S. mainland and hasn’t aggressively attacked any country in well over 100 years.
The maritime border that the U.S. claims as its own is thousands of miles away from the U.S. off the coast of South Africa. How can the imperialist nation of America claim to own and control waters around the planet lying off the coasts of other sovereign nations in the first place? Actually, the U.S. and its warmongering military claim to control the entire world, so this is really not a stretch.
The U.S. invades other countries constantly, sending war ships, planes, drones and covert forces into these regions which are acts of war. The foreign policy of the United States is one of arrogance designed to intimidate or worse any country that does not bow down to and do the bidding of this U.S. monster.
In this case, the mainstream media just helps along the lie by sensationalizing what is in reality a non-event prosecuted by an impotent and minor force simply attempting to defend itself. The United States entire Fifth Fleet is advancing up to or inside Iranian waters, but one Iranian ship is heralded as a major threat to U.S. borders. That is nothing less than a pathetic display of fearmongering aimed at an ignorant population of apathetic fools. The worst part is that it is usually an effective tool to rally the masses around the American flag of death.
