Most readers of this blog have heard of the plight of Brandon Raub, an ex-Marine who has been arrested and sent to a psychological ward at the John Randolph Medical Center for evaluations based only on his private postings on his Facebook page. Those postings included lines from song lyrics and political messages.
Raub has not been charged with any crime, but police went to his house without a search warrant, read him his rights, (what rights?) handcuffed him, and are detaining him indefinitely. He is being held against his will by police, and is being labeled as a terrorist.
Actually, the government that is holding him is the terrorist here, and Raub is simply an innocent citizen caught in the government’s game of intimidation and tyranny. His privacy rights were violated by the police state, and due to that illegal violation, he is being forcibly held in a “mental” ward in Chesterfield County, Virginia. He has committed no crime, nor is he charged with any crime, but nonetheless, he has been imprisoned indefinitely. This is a travesty!
This should serve to prove that as American citizens, we have absolutely no rights whatsoever as far as the state is concerned. Given some of the legislation that has passed recently, it is possible that Brandon Raub could conceivably and “legally” be held forever, be tortured, be renditioned, be disappeared, or murdered for his crime of speaking his mind about this heinous government.
If this can happen to this former Marine, it can happen to any of us. Allowing this kind of criminal behavior by government to continue without massive resistance, can only lead to a total tyrannical state!
