One cannot swing a dead cat without hitting yet another election headline. I am already thoroughly sick of election politics, so-called debates, political ads, and campaign promises. Apparently, little of this nonsense changes from election to election. One would think that the misguided voter would awaken to this idiocy, and finally figure out that these elections are nothing more than exercises in tomfoolery.
I will certainly exclude Ron Paul from this conversation, but the system is nonetheless the same, regardless of the participants. This in my mind is a fatal flaw, and remedy lies not with voting, but with abolishment of the current political system in favor of something better.
I, of course, am in favor of a stateless society, but most think this to be unrealistic. So if some form of government must be present in order to satisfy the dependent masses who are constantly looking for someone to “lead” them, and tell them what to do, let’s at least destroy all power held at the federal level, other than the ability to protect individual natural rights.
Just think, this nonsense will only ratchet up from here, going on and on for nine more months, culminating into a climax of political rhetoric that that will cause even the toughest among us to lose their lunch.
This disgusting display by power brokers with egos is what passes in this country for free market politics, with the end result being democracy. Those who choose democracy deserve what that form of rule imposes upon them. Since democracy is the first step to most of the “isms,” it is no wonder that so-called democratic societies always end up as totalitarian states. This is known by the controllers, and embraced by those being controlled.
Without the consent of the people, this would not be so, but with the consent of the people, voluntarily slavery to the state becomes the norm!
