It was noted in an article by Michael Isikoff, that civilians in Iraq and Syria are now fair game for drone attacks. As stated in that article:
“The White House has acknowledged for the first time that strict standards President Obama imposed last year to prevent civilian deaths from U.S. drone strikes will not apply to U.S. military operations in Syria and Iraq.”
“A White House statement to Yahoo News confirming the looser policy came in response to questions about reports that as many as a dozen civilians, including women and young children, were killed when a Tomahawk missile struck the village of Kafr Daryan in Syria’s Idlib province on the morning of Sept. 23.”
What this means is that it is now stated U.S. policy to kill innocent civilians, including women and children, without concern. This is not arguable because this so-called new policy came about after the U.S. military knowingly slaughtered women and young children in Syria. Evil has no bounds when it comes to U.S. politicians, especially the president, and the murderous military arm of that same government.
Any comments concerning Obama and the past supposed policy of the “near certainty” standards in avoiding civilian casualties should be looked upon with contempt. There was never such a policy, as the bulk of all casualties in that region have been and are civilians. In fact, one could argue that all deaths due to U.S. aggressive war and occupation in Syria and Iraq, as well as in many other places, are civilian because no foreign state armed forces have attacked the U.S. None!
What is so heinous about this latest pronouncement is that it has become open and accepted policy for the U.S. to murder women and children at will, morality and decency be damned. The only reason that this government and its military can get away with these atrocities, and with purposeful intent, is that the U.S. population of frightened serfs go along. This in my opinion makes the bulk of Americans complicit in the murder of innocents, including the murder of children.
The consequences of this abominable policy by the Obama White House will most likely be extremely deadly for Americans. The world is being told that the accepted U.S. policy is to murder in cold blood civilians in Syria and Iraq, or at least not to be concerned in any manner as to who is killed and maimed. The blowback potential due to this policy is almost certain, and when that blowback occurs, the perpetrators, who are responding to aggressive attack and murder by the U.S., will be portrayed by this government and its lapdog mainstream press as terrorists. The real terrorists here are the U.S. government and its military.
The U.S. created, funded, armed, and trained terrorist “rebels” in Syria, the same terrorists that are now referred to as ISIS, ISIL, and IS, and these are the same terrorists who are slaughtering innocents in Syria and Iraq. Now the U.S. is attacking and slaughtering civilians in those countries under the pretext of protecting Americans from the same evil terrorists being funded by U.S. tax dollars.
No government could get away with such an obvious ploy of murder and slaughter of innocents in order to support the warmongering war profiteers, the entire U.S. military industrial complex in fact, without the support, whether open or implied, of the populace at large. What kind of people would stand for this level of wickedness in their name? Apparently, those kind of people are Americans!
