Obama’s spokesman, Jay Carney, in response to the Los Angeles Times publishing pictures of American soldiers posing for “trophy” shots with corpses of Afghans, said that the president was “disappointed with the decision to publish two years after the incident.”
I’m sure he was disappointed that they were published at all. This incident happened two years ago, but it has only now been exposed. In all likelihood, this has been known about by the White House and the military for some time. The recent release of the pictures is the only reason any of this gruesome behavior saw the light of day.
Of course Carney, speaking for Obama, offered that the release of these photos might put at risk U.S. soldiers. This statement, along with the ridiculous, “it’s only a few bad apples,” argument is ludicrous.
Obama is the one responsible for putting every single American soldier sent to unwarranted wars in harms way. He is the one putting these people at risk. He is also the one responsible for all the deaths of innocents in all the countries being attacked by the U.S. and its murderous military.
The White House isn’t worried about this horrible incident, and Obama is only worried because the pictures were released during an election year. All talk coming from the White House should be ignored, as it is only an attempt to save face long enough for the average American to forget about it. (about 5 minutes)
Of course, the standard lie was not to be left out by the White House spokesman. He drug up these words: “The conduct depicted in those photographs is reprehensible and does not in any way represent the high standards of the U.S. military.” Poppycock! The only standard that I’m aware of concerning the military, is that of taking unconscionable orders to murder and slaughter innocents in foreign lands.
The White House and politicians in general, those who attempt to take the high ground, have no business talking about standards. They are fully responsible for the murder, torture, rape, and pillage of innocents all over the Middle East, but they are only supposedly upset because these idiots in military garb took some pictures (and got caught) of dead Afghans who were most likely only protecting themselves from the U.S. murdering hoard!
Obama should tell the truth and say that he wished he could have destroyed the pictures before they were published. That coverup would have been normal procedure, and probably happens every day!
