North Korea and U.S. Arrogance

In today’s news, North Korea is planning to test fire a long range rocket over the Yellow Sea. Of course, the U.S. is protesting this launch, but given the hypocrisy and arrogance of the U.S. and others here, this protest should fall on deaf ears.

I will preface my remarks by saying I have no respect whatsoever for the North Korean regime in power, or any other dictatorial regime, but that has nothing to do with this particular situation. I an speaking only to the hypocrisy and arrogance of U.S. policy.

My wish is that no nuclear weapons or long range missiles existed on earth, but if aggressor countries like the U.S. are going to stockpile more nukes than all others combined, it only makes good sense for those targeted to do the same, if for no other reason than to deter unwarranted attacks. Remember, the U.S. government and its military are the only ones to ever use a nuclear weapon, and that bomb was purposely dropped on Japanese Christian civilian centers, killing over 200,000 innocents. These attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the two single largest terrorist attacks in the history of mankind.

This planned launch is supposed to take place sometime between today and Monday. The U.S., Britain, Japan, and others are saying that any launch would be considered a “provocation,” and would violate U.N. Security Council resolutions that ban North Korea from developing its nuclear programs. This is hypocrisy at its finest.

The U.S. has slaughtered many Koreans in the past for no valid reason, this during the immoral Korean War. The U.S. has inflicted brutal sanctions against North Korea for many years. The U.S. has threatened North Korea on several occasions, even though there has never been any attack by that country against the U.S. The U.S. is still threatening North Korea.

North Korean officials have asserted that this launch is peaceful, and is simply a missile test to send a satellite into space. Whether it is or not, North Korea has just as much right to do so as does the U.S.

So long as murderous imperialistic ventures by the U.S. continues, other countries in the crosshairs of the mighty U.S. will strive to arm themselves for protection purposes. This is only natural. If real peace were sought by the U.S., this government would dismantle its nuclear arsenal, and cease its aggression and its drive for global hegemony. It would bring all American troops in the world back home. It would close all bases worldwide. It would stop its support for any dictator in any country on earth, and mind its own business. Foreign policy would be reduced to only peaceful negotiation meant to achieve free trade in a world of cooperation.

Then and only then would the U.S. have a legitimate reason to peacefully request that others follow by example. So long as the U.S. is the enemy of the world, none should adhere to demands from this monster, not the North Koreans, and not the American citizens themselves!
