More Extended Deployments for Soldiers in Afghanistan

Soldiers who have been sent to Afghanistan to conduct aggression against those who have never harmed the United States, will be seeing their deployment extended next year according to General Raymond Odierno, Army Chief of Staff.

The reason given of course, is that these longer deployments will be due to “budget cuts,” because the Army will not be able to fund more training and operations. He mentioned nothing about ending that abhorrent war, a war based on the slaughter and maiming of innocents, done for the purpose of securing corporate profits and building more government power.

Also, nothing was mentioned about the rampant rise in military suicides, much due to long and multiple deployments, time when these soldiers are away from their families. The longer these military members are involved in that heinous war of aggression, the more chance that they will come back heavily scarred from their voluntary warmongering against men, women, and children who have never aggressively harmed any of these men and women in the U.S. military.

But why would generals and politicians care about sending other’s children to die, be permanently maimed, or emotionally or mentally destroyed due to what they have seen and done? They care not about death and destruction, not even when its their own, so long as the government and military agenda of perpetual imperial war is achieved.

As I mentioned earlier, this will be blamed on a lack of funds, but this war should never have been prosecuted in the first place, and should certainly not be going on today. Why not shut down entirely the war machine, and bring all troops home. At least they would have the opportunity to make an honest living, and one that does not include the killing of others on orders from cowards.

My fear of course, is that these soldiers will come home and join the growing ranks of the militarized and murderous police forces that now are mostly controlled by the feds; the same feds that are prosecuting horrible wars around the globe today. That would be better for all those in foreign lands who are being brutalized by American forces, but worse for us at home when this police state expands even more out of control.

It’s time to end this unnecessary and immoral war in Afghanistan, and every other aggression being perpetrated by the U.S. Should that really happen, the expectation would be that economic growth would be the result, just as happened after the end of WWII when all the soldiers came home. There were many more than now, and fears of a lack of jobs fell on deaf ears, as 1946 was the most productive year in history.

Bring them all home, stop all wars and occupations, and put an end to the U.S. military policing of the world and at home. Instead of worrying about not having enough money for the funding of killing, there would be a windfall of money due to an end to imperialistic bullying by the U.S. In addition, the biggest terrorist in history would no longer be terrorizing the rest of the world. How much prosperity would be possible without wars of destruction around the world? It would be unlimited, and freedom and liberty would have a fighting chance!
