Marines Now Police: A Travesty!

The Marine Corp now has its own police (law enforcement) battalions. They are slated to deploy worldwide, which means domestically as well, to “investigate crimes from terrorism to drug trafficking.”

Three of these battalions, which are made up of approximately 500 military police officers, were activated just last month. Since they have taken on the role of cop in U.S. wars of aggression, why not become cops around the entire world, even on our own streets? Why not help to control civil disturbances, handle detainees, carry out forensic work, and use biometrics to identify suspects. Why not just capture and decide guilt or innocence as well? They will of course be able to use deadly force if they deem it necessary.

I have been discussing the probability of Martial Law in the now police state of America for a long time. There are several things that could bring this about, not the least of which is an economic collapse. With any local civil unrest, natural disaster, mass protests, etc., Martial Law on a local level would, (and has already occurred), be evident. But with any massive or widespread civil unrest, regardless of the reasons for such an event, Martial Law in my opinion would be imminent, but on a much larger scale. Given that the Marines, National Guard and Reserves, are now considered as domestic police, that means that trained, heavily armed soldiers would be patrolling our streets. They would also be ready to use deadly force.

There is little more that I can say or do, as I have been exposing all the warning signs for a long time, but things are now out of control. Once the populace accepts the military as part of the policing force, the danger to all of us will dramatically increase; and immediately. In my opinion, this travesty will only continue and escalate from here, because I see no outrage by the people at large. I see only weakness, dependence, and apathy!
