Israel’s Netanyahu and his Continued Agitation Toward War

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s current Prime Minister, continues to stir the pot in hopes of dragging the seemingly most willing U.S. into war with Iran. In his recent visit to Cyprus, he makes some bold statements, statements that are not supportable or accurate, but very telling in nature.

While in Nicosia, Netanyahu also addressed the Iranian nuclear threat, saying the sanctions imposed by the international community on the Islamic Republic “are not working.”

Netanyahu claimed, in his now normal warmongering tone, that “Iran is the most irresponsible force in the world. I hope the sanctions will have an effect, but so far they have not. We are dealing with a regime that violates every resolution and has no respect for international standards,” the Israeli premier said. “Iran’s race towards nuclear weapons should concern the US and every other country. Nuclear arms in the hands of such a regime is a cause for great concern to the US and Israel.”

The facts tell a different story however, as no proof exists that Iran has any nuclear weapons, and none is available showing that Iran even has the capability to produce nuclear weapons at this time.

But what if they did have the capability, and they wanted to act on that capability in order to protect themselves from all the aggressive threats by Israel and the U.S.? Both Israel and the U.S. are nuclear powers, and the U.S. has literally thousands of nuclear weapons. Why should Iran not protect itself, given the extreme situation that is evident concerning real threats from Israel and the West?

Netanyahu’s rantings should go unnoticed, considering that Iran has attacked no one, while at the same time Israel and the U.S. are constantly committing aggressive actions against innocent countries.

Israel does not belong to the Non-Proliferation Treaty, nor does it allow any inspection of its nuclear facilities, so why does the cretin Netanyahu say that Iran violates every resolution, when first that is not true, and second, Israel obeys no nuclear resolution or treaty? I smell hypocrisy here.

I don’t want any nuclear weapons to ever be used, and I would prefer that none exist, but that is not reality. When the most aggressive nations have these weapons, it is only natural that those who are being threatened by these aggressive powers would also want weapons that could deter attacks. So long as the U.S. continues in its imperialistic warmongering ways, there should be no expectation that others will stand down and allow themselves to be vulnerable to aggressive attack.

If things were done properly, the U.S. would lead the way by eliminating its huge nuclear arsenal. Unless that happens, others will continue to increase their weapons production, if for no other reason than for survival. How can they legitimately be blamed for this position?
