“Iran may be cleaning up nuke work” (?)

Yes, another headline, completely unsubstantiated of course, that implies that Iran “may” be cleaning up radioactive materials at a nuclear site. This story came out of Vienna, and was reported by USA TODAY.

“Satellite images of an Iranian military facility show trucks and earth-moving vehicles at the site, indicating that crews were trying to clean it of radioactive traces possibly left by tests of a nuclear-weapon trigger, diplomats told the Associated Press on Wednesday.”

Keep in mind that there is no proof given that any cleanup was actually taking place, and not one single named individual signed off on these claims. The so-called diplomats who made these claims are said to be “nuclear experts accredited to the International Atomic Energy Agency, and all asked for anonymity to discuss sensitive information.” Of course they did.

My position is that I would prefer that no nuclear weapons ever be used, and that none exist, but if some are going to have this capability, then others in order to protect themselves have every right to do so as well. Iran is no different.

This kind of reporting, as in the article sited above, is very irresponsible and inflammatory. First, there is no probable validity in what was said, and second, nothing was mentioned about the fact that the U.S. not only has more nuclear weapons than all others, but that the U.S. is the only country ever to use them. Not only did the U.S. government and its complicit military purposely use nuclear bombs against innocent civilians in Japan, it had no reason to do so. Those bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki therefore, were the two worst terrorist attacks ever committed in history!

The U.S. government, which controls the biggest nuclear empire on earth, has no business preaching nuclear non-proliferation to any other nation. Leading by example, and dismantling all nuclear capability would be a better way, but massive hypocrisy is the rule of the day.

These constant unsubstantiated “news” reports, probably fed to the willing media by the feds, are harmful and misleading. Thousands upon thousands of innocent lives hang in the balance of what this corrupt government decides, and what is perceived by the people due to media reporting will have a great impact on what decisions are made, this whether legitimate or manufactured.

It is a dangerous game, and one that could end in disaster for all of us!
