Arizona’s state legislature has just passed a very sweeping Internet censorship bill. It is House Bill 2549, and is so broad that virtually any language used electronically can be deemed “offensive” by the state of Arizona.
Anything sent through electronic communication could be considered a crime if it is said “to ‘annoy,’ ‘offend,’ ‘harass’ or ‘terrify,’ as well as certain sexual speech.” This bill is not limited to one to one communications, which means that it would apply to the Internet. That means all forms of communications, including writing such as you are now reading here on my site, could be found to be criminal!
If the states get by with this, so can the Feds. Neither should be an option allowed by any who desire privacy, and want to protect freedom!
