Well, the game is literally over concerning liberty. With all the liberty-killing legislation since the 9/11 events, events lied about from the beginning, this new law “legalizing” the indefinite military detention of American citizens without benefit of any due process, is as I’ve said before, the final nail in the proverbial coffin of freedom.
This heinous legislation overwhelmingly pased by both the House of Representatives and the Senate, and signed into law by the lying Obama, completes the circle from freedom and liberty to total tyranny in a land of slaves. This was done by the very people that you voters voluntarily chose to “represent” you. A land of slaves seems to be the desired end, because few Americans are even paying attention to the fact that they are all now subject to indefinite detention or worse.
The stage has been set for the government to “legally” eliminate all the truth tellers, dissenters, and all those who would question the state. Almost total apathy is present among the masses, and this apathy will lead to an accepted tyranny. Once those willing to question authority, those who are unafraid to practice active dissent, are gone, none will be left to protect our precious natural rights. What will remain will be a pasture of sheep, constantly hiding and shaking in fear. This is exactly what the state apparatus wanted to achieve, and it looks like that goal has now been accomplished.
There is little that is more pathetic than those who are unwilling to defend themselves and their freedom, but instead beg the state for protection. This so-called protection comes at a great price; that price being servitude to a totalitarian master.
I’m sure there now will be many who will claim that this is against the constitution, but their words should fall on deaf ears. Any who cling to the notion that our natural rights come from a piece of paper drafted by politicians, rights that no men can grant, will be and deserve to be forever enslaved. To accept that simple men drafting documents could grant the rights to life, liberty, and property is ludicrous on its face, and defeatist in nature. For if one believes that these inherent rights can be given by men, then they have to also accept that these same rights can be taken away by men.
The detestable Obama and his accomplices have put themselves in a position to steal all our rights. The only alternative for those wishing to retain their natural rights is to actively defend any attempted rights destruction. This will take courage and fearless activism. Those who desire to be free should not acquiesce to any illegitimate act by government, and should never allow the incarceration and unlimited detention of those willing to fight for freedom.
On June 8, 1978, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was addressing an audience at Harvard University:
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things
have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night
to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive
and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass
arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of
the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs,
paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every
step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to
lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a
dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?
. . .”
