The headline in USA TODAY reads:
“Iranian vessels sail for U.S. coast to protest U.S. military presence in the Persian Gulf”
I just wrote in my last post about the danger of deceptive headlines, but it is more sinister than meets the eye. The government with the help of its mainstream media arm in order to prosecute its imperialist agenda needs to get the American masses on board. This can and does get done by the use of false flag events, but continual fear mongering by the press at the behest of government can achieve the same result. If something is said often enough, it becomes “truth” in the eyes of the sheep.
Iran is sailing one small destroyer loaded with cadets, and a logistics ship on a 3 month training exercise. If the cadets were armed with fishing poles, they would not even be a threat to a school of tuna, much less to the largest military navy on earth.
But that is not the half of this fraudulent story. This naval convoy of one is just now reached the Atlantic off the coast of South Africa, thousands of miles from the U.S. coast. They are actually approaching what the U.S. claims as its own maritime waters. In addition, the U.S. Navy’s entire Fifth Fleet sits directly off the coast of Iran in the Persian Gulf. It normally consists of:
“Its usual configuration includes a Carrier Strike Group, Amphibious Ready Group or Expeditionary Strike Group, and other ships and aircraft with approximately 25,000 people serving afloat and 3,000 support personnel ashore. Whether launching combat aircraft from a carrier, landing Marines ashore, firing cruise missiles, or conducting peacetime military exercises with allies in the region, it remains the world’s premiere naval force and America’s force of choice.”
Wow, and they are frightened and alerting the American populace of the massive danger facing the U.S. by one tiny destroyer manned by young cadets on a three month training exercise. They have never even been able to make it to the North Atlantic even once, and it is very unlikely that they could get that far on this harmless cruise, but warmongers in the U.S. will use any type of propaganda to alarm an apathetic and ignorant citizenry.
John Bolton, a warmongering neocon is warning of this great threat posed by Iran.
“The mission shows the danger Iran would pose if it possessed nuclear weapons, says John Bolton, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under President George W. Bush.” “It shows they could put a weapon on a boat or freighter, and if (Iran) has ballistic missiles it could put it anywhere on the U.S. coast,” Bolton said. “Down the road it could be a threat.”
“They are showing they can sail from Iran across the Atlantic Ocean and travel right up to our coast,” Bolton said. “They’re building up capabilities.”
These are the words of a bald faced liar, an agitator, a warmonger and murderer. He is purposely exaggerating a non-threat so as to propagate fear among the American masses. He is doing this with the full cooperation of the mainstream media, and his agenda is to rally the sheep around the flag of war against what has been a peaceful country for hundreds of years. But they have a lot of oil, and are positioned in a U.S. sought after geopolitical location.
This headline and story are shameless, and should not be taken seriously. Despicable does not begin to describe this nonsense published by USA TODAY!
