Is anything happening in the United States other than a minor hurricane hitting the Northeast? One would have to wonder considering the continuous political and media warnings of the worst event in human history.
Thank God for the government and the mainstream media, or no U.S. citizen would know that he could walk or talk during this most dire event. Some estimates have this hurricane hitting wind speeds of 75 miles per hour. That is one mile an hour into a hurricane, as a hurricane does not even exist unless wind speeds hit 74 miles per hour.
I’m not attempting to minimize any risk faced by those who will be pummeled with some high winds and heavy rain, but this nonsense has advanced past the ridiculous. I grew up and lived in tornado alley, have watched a close family member’s home explode and disappear before my eyes, and entire shopping centers and towns disappear. I have seen common storms carrying 60 to 100 mile per hour winds. I have lived where flooding caused unbelievable damage. I lived for ten years on the east coast of Florida, and went through several hurricanes. I now live in rural Montana, where I regularly see winds above 60 miles per hour, and as high of 90 plus, blizzards with 40 below zero temperatures, etc.
Not once did I turn on the television or seek the advice of politicians to find out how I was supposed to act. Not once did I seek to get permission to travel, or to ask what goods I might need in order to survive. Not once did I expect any government agency to come to my rescue or steal from others in order to take care of me and my family.
It almost seems that this storm, a common storm to be sure, is being blown (no pun intended) out of proportion in order to take the spotlight off other more important events. And just imagine, this is happening right before the worthless presidential election, and when the Obama administration is struggling to explain its actions during the Benghazi incident; actions that indicate criminal behavior.
I do realize that the people in this country have become weak and apathetic, and can barely take care of themselves given any strife, but this stinks to high heaven!
