Obama has claimed Executive Privilege concerning the delivery of documents about the government’s Fast and Furious program, and Eric Holder, the Attorney General, has been found in contempt of Congress. Executive “privilege” should never be allowed, because allowing anyone, especially a politician who claims to represent the people, the “privilege” to withhold information, means that they are above all law. It also means they have much to hide, and want to cover up all evidence.
I will preface any other comments by saying that it is obvious that the Republicans want to continue with these proceedings in order to harm Obama in an election year. They are not concerned about any drive to make all political doings open and public, even though that is always the best road to take. In fact, that is the last thing they desire, because their skeletons are already overflowing from the proverbial closet.
Republicans, or anyone else for that matter, demanding information from the White House is proper, but in this case, it is only being pursued for political reasons. There could be some repercussions though, because the government gun running began in 2006 while Bush was still in the White House. Maybe both Bush and Obama could be exposed of criminal activity should all information be released. Wouldn’t that be a coup?
There is not need for me to comment further because this story will be on every news broadcast for some time. I would however, caution those listening to any mainstream media about this situation not to believe what you are told unless you can verify everything.
The best case scenario would be for all information to be released to Congress, and made fully available to the populace at large. If that were to happen, Holder and Obama may be exposed for the crooks that they are, and maybe many others would be outed, including the evil George Bush and some of his henchmen, One can only hope!
