The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced on Monday that law enforcement would be able to “streamline” the authorization process to allow them to deploy drones for domestic use. This attitude is not new, but the continuation of speeding up approvals for drone use by police is troubling.
In addition to the FAA’s speeding up approvals, they are also allowing for the use of larger drones. This new process is just a two step ordeal, once an organization shows proficiency in flying drones, it will receive an operational Certificate of Authorization or COA. This authorization allows any approved agency to use national airspace. This is simply an advance approval of spying on citizens or worse.
This is all happening due to a federal mandate for the FAA to expedite drone authorization, which will in turn cause increased use of these spying and killing machines. Any approved agency, law enforcement or not, will now be able to fly drones for a longer period as well; actually twice as long as in the past without seeking new approval.
Of course, there is even a faster track method to approve drone use due to this new FAA ruling. That is for so-called emergencies. Any who pay attention already know that the government can announce an emergency situation for almost anything from a rainstorm, snowstorm, tornado, hurricane, civil disturbance, health scare, or false flag terrorist activity. This sets the stage for immediate approval of large numbers of drones should that be the government’s desire.
Later this year, it is expected that the FAA will approve the use of small drones for a large number of UAS users. This will open up the market for both civil and commercial operations. What this means is that any individual privacy will have disappeared.
The skies will soon be filled with surveillance aircraft from the size of an insect to much larger killer drones with murderous capabilities. The worse the economic and social situation becomes, the more surveillance that will be evident; or more likely, not so evident.
This is what fear has brought us. This is what apathy by the masses brings to the table. We now have an all consuming and all knowing government apparatus that is constantly spying on everything we do. The consequences of this will be devastating to liberty, and will allow for a kept society. None will be free in the future until this idiocy is stopped!
The FAA also says it has a new online application process and a way of fast-tracking drone authorization for emergencies:
“The agency also developed an automated, web-based process to streamline steps and ensure a COA application is complete and ready for review. The agency already has expedited procedures in place to grant one-time COAs for time-sensitive emergency missions such as disaster relief and humanitarian efforts.”
