I have been soundly and properly criticized by a great writer and friend for not having a real solution for this situation concerning the border wall. He was right of course, so I thought about it, and came up with some answers.
Even he pointed out that there is no solution that could actually work given the system in which we have allowed ourselves to become entrapped. So how does one describe a problem, and then give a simple solution? My solution, that being eliminating government, apparently is not realistic or going to happen, so I will try again.
We have 50 million people on one side, 50 million on the other, and the rest of the 225 million don’t give a damn. That is our starting point. As an aside, this is not any support for voting, as that is simply a game for fools. Conceptually, I have a solution, but it is about as valid as my first choice.
First, get all U.S. government out of Central America. End all welfare programs in this country, first by shutting off every single program to anyone coming into the U.S. Then close down all military bases that are not inside the borders of the United States. Then eliminate the CIA, something JFK wanted to do, close the FBI, Homeland Security, NSA, and every other anti-freedom agency in the government. Close the Federal Reserve immediately and go back to a sound monetary system with all money backed by gold. Stop the insane war on drugs in its tracks, immediately, so that the U.S. supported drug cartels would go out of business. Stop every bit of interference in Latin America and stop all protectionist practices. End all corrupt and harmful trade agreements, and allow simple free trade. This is a start, and obviously my short list.
Does my solution have any chance of happening? of course not, but it is a good plan nonetheless. Sometimes there is no solution, at least not any solution that could actually work. I think I like my first choice best. That would be peaceful anarchy, with no government, and open and free borders. That is about as likely as my detailed plan.
All of this will most likely be irrelevant because what will bring down this horrible empire called America will not be a political change, or a war. It will in my humble opinion be a massive economic collapse. This I feel confident will be the end of this period of human existence. The next collapse will also be worldwide, as the banking system fails, and everything is exposed. This will have nothing to do with the wall, because everything and everybody will be affected.
Or, we could just use Pat Buchanan’s solution. Grant dictatorial powers to Trump, or just have him take those powers by force as Buchanan suggested. Then declare an emergency, move the military in all force to the border, steal a $100 billion more and build a wall around the country, this regardless of any other opinion. In other words, the people be damned. But isn’t that the way it is now? Yes, but it could get worse … and will!
