Beyond Arrogance

The evil Obama administration, (this is not meant to exclude any other administration) said yesterday that it was exempting seven more nations from its Iran sanctions, but still would not allow China the same exemption. The arrogance of this nonsense is staggering, but that is only the tip of the iceberg.

What does it say about the government of a country when its policy is to allow or not allow another sovereign nation’s people to trade freely with a country of their choice? Does that mean that the U.S. government is dictator over all others? Does that mean the U.S. reserves the “right” to sanction any country on earth it desires? Does that mean that the U.S. reserves the “right” to attack militarily any country that does not obey U.S. demands?

The only reason any other country’s people would pay attention to U.S. orders would be to protect themselves from either economic or physical harm. The fact that any country has to even consider such threats is ludicrous. What if every other country on earth told the U.S. government to go straight to the devil? What if all others traded with whomever they chose freely? If this happened, the U.S. government would be left impotent, and that is how it should be!
