According to NSA Whistleblowers: Government Spying on All Americans!

While the U.S. government has been surveilling U.S. citizens for decades, the escalation of this spying has intensified beyond imagination since the 9/11 coverup of September 2001.

According to several past employees of the National Security Administration, (NSA) including former NSA Technical Director, William Binney, former Senior Official Thomas Drake, and former Senior Analyst Kirk Wiebe, the U.S. government through its many agencies has been guilty of blanket surveillance of Americans. In fact, this blanket surveillance may include every single one of us!

From an article from RT:

In an interview with “Viewpoint” host Eliot Spitzer, Drake said there was a “key decision made shortly after 9/11, which began to rapidly turn the United States of America into the equivalent of a foreign nation for dragnet blanket electronic surveillance.”

“These powers have previously defended by claims of national security necessity, but Drake says that it doesn’t stop there. He warns that the government is giving itself the power to gather intel on every American that could be used in future prosecutions unrelated to terrorism.”

“When you open up the Pandora’s Box of just getting access to incredible amounts of data, for people that have no reason to be put under suspicion, no reason to have done anything wrong, and just collect all that for potential future use or even current use, it opens up a real danger — and to what else what they could use that data for, particularly when it’s all being hidden behind the mantle of national security,” Drake said.

This information gathering is much more ominous than most any apathetic American can imagine. Given the right circumstances, virtually anyone could be rounded up by the state for a multitude of reasons due only to the collection of information about them by government. With the enormous amount of laws on the books, and with new laws being put on the books constantly, we are all at risk. Any new legislation passed into law in the future, no matter how broad and sweeping, could serve to empower the state to arrest or detain virtually anyone due only to past information collected. This is unbelievably dangerous.

Spying and unwarranted blanket surveillance can only lead to tyranny. It is the lynchpin in a series of events meant to enslave the general population while at the same time vastly increasing the power of government. The resulting consequences can only lead to a total destruction of liberty, and a state apparatus that gains total control over all aspects of life.

The proper way should be the reversal of this dynamic. The people should have unlimited privacy, while the government should be surveilled and monitored at every turn. Only then will liberty return, and government corruption be fully exposed. Only then can government lose its power over the individual. Only then will the state be subordinate to the individual. Only then will we once again be free!
