Hitler in Control of America?

This quote from Lew Rockwell speaks volumes about the blind apathy and complete lack of knowledge of the American citizen. Apathy and ignorance at this level is brutally dangerous.

“[Hitler] suspended the gold standard, embarked on huge public-works programs like autobahns, protected industry from foreign competition, expanded credit, instituted jobs programs, bullied the private sector on prices and production decisions, vastly expanded the military, enforced capital controls, instituted family planning, penalized smoking, brought about national healthcare and unemployment insurance, imposed education standards, and eventually ran huge deficits.”  ~Llewellyn H. Rockwell, “Hitler’s Economics”

Franklin Roosevelt and Richard Nixon took the U.S. off the gold standard, Nixon levying the final blow in 1971. Huge “public works” programs have been constant since, “jobs” programs are rampant, protectionism through tariffs and legislation is constant, expanded credit has surpassed all reality via printing worthless paper money, and fascist policies controlling prices and production are obvious. Capital controls and family planning are in place, smoking has been effectively outlawed, national healthcare and unemployment insurance are solidly in place, forced compulsory schooling with total government control has been in place for decades, and the deficits in this country are beyond imagination.

And there is even more. It seems as if Hitler’s plans have been accepted and emulated by the American controllers and its government. Hitler is called a monster, the most hated man of all time, and yet the U.S. nationstate has done exactly what Hitler did in Germany, except to a higher level, including the murder and genocide of millions. And the citizenry has no clue whatsoever, nor do they even care about this obvious correlation.

The American masses have embraced most all the policies of Hitler, and apparently they don’t even know it. Hypocrisy or just plain stupidity? Take your pick.
